Hydraulic Elevator
Hahne offers aesthetic, comprehensive, durable and innovative solutions in the hydraulic elevator domain.
Hydraulic Elevators are available in single and twin cylinder configurations. The cylinder and drive modules are connected with each other via hoses and pipes. The power unit consists of tank, motor, pump and flow control valve. During the operation, the motor runs the pump which delivers the oil to the flow control valve. The valve then allows the oil to run into the cylinder via a hydraulic hose pipe.
As the cylinder travels upwards, it lifts the cabin (direct transmission) or it lifts the pulley which is connected to the carframe on which the cabin rests (indirect transmission). The pulley and carframe are connected via ropes.
During the downward travel, the lift comes down by virtue of gravity under its own weight. The pump and motor play no part in the downward travel of the elevator and the ride characteristics is controlled by the flow control valve. The oil returns back to the power pack from the cylinder.

Advantages of Hydraulic Elevator
- Most commonly used type of elevator in modern technology
- Cheapest installation in comparison to other elevator types
- Less space requirement and almost 10% smaller area for the lift shaft
- Highly effective with heavy loads thanks to very large hydraulic lifting force
- No machine room under the roof necessary and no structural requirements above the cabin, because of load distribution to load-bearing walls
- Remote control of machine room
- Easy installation, operation and maintenance, as well as high durability
- Suitable for private households and offices due to the calm and easy pacing
- Extensive storage of energy and practical security system
